Professor Jhunjhunwala is an eminent academician, Padma Shri awardee, and a pioneer in technology-led innovation and entrepreneurship in India. An alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the University of Maine (USA), he has been a faculty member at IIT Madras since 1981. He currently serves as the President of IIT Madras Research Park and the Chairman of IIIT Hyderabad, playing a pivotal role in shaping India’s research, startup, telecom, and energy ecosystems.
